After we pour the last coffee of the day, the shop can be yours — the whole café at the corner of Cannon & Ottawa, for your shower, birthday, pop-up, or game night.
Private evening rental

What you get
The room, the seating, the good light, and one of our crew on site all evening to let you in, keep things humming, and lock up after. Bring your own food and decorations — the space is yours to make yours.
Baby & bridal showers
A bright corner venue for a shower in Hamilton — tables arranged however the games demand, pastry boards if you want them, and big windows for the golden-hour photos.
Birthday parties
A birthday party space for grown-ups and kids alike. Bring the cake and the decorations — we’ll handle the room, the music and the lockup.
Workshops & team nights
An offsite that doesn’t feel like a boardroom: movable tables, a projector-friendly wall (bring your own projector), ceiling speakers you can Bluetooth into, and the espresso bar running if you add it.
Pop-ups & launches
Launch a zine, a brand, a supper club. The corner windows at Cannon & Ottawa do half the advertising themselves.

The fine print, kept short
- Food: bring whatever you like, from anywhere you like.
- Alcohol: if your event includes it, Ontario asks the host to get a Special Occasion Permit — quick and inexpensive at agco.ca, and we’ll need to see it before the day. Our crew doesn’t serve alcohol.
- Timing: events wrap by 11 PM — we pour coffee at 7 the next morning.
- Booking: send a request through the form — you’ll see the full price before you send it. Chris calls to confirm; the $300 deposit locks the date and comes back to you in full the day after your event, assuming no surprises.
- Leave it: broom-clean — we handle the real cleaning, that’s what the reset fee is for.

How many people does the space hold?
We seat 28, with ways to squeeze in a few more if your group doesn't mind getting cozy. For a standing, mingling kind of evening, the space works up to about 50.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Absolutely — food from anywhere you like. There's kitchen space where a catering team can stage and plate. If they're hoping to use any of our equipment, have them get in touch with us first to coordinate.
Can the room be set up for a workshop or meeting?
Yes — the tables move. Dinner first, then rearrange into small discussion groups, rows for a talk, whatever the evening needs.
Can you serve coffee at our event?
Kind of our thing. Add batch coffee and tea service for $5 a person, or open the full espresso bar with a barista — $200 for two hours of lattes and cortados made to order.
Can we run a presentation or play music?
There's a projector-friendly wall — bring your own projector and you're set. For sound, the ceiling speakers are yours for the evening: hop on by Bluetooth or plug right in.
Can we see the space before we book?
Any time. Pop by during café hours for a walkthrough, or we're happy to do a quick video tour if that's easier.
What hours can an event run?
The café closes at 3, and evenings start at 4 PM once we've reset the room. Events run three to five hours and wrap by 11 PM.
